A Vision, Even In An Empty Room

Angie D’Ingianni is the owner of Absolutely Nola, a creative wedding planning and design team based in New Orleans. She’s been in the wedding business since 1999 when she was starting out as a photographer. “I started in this industry as a wedding photographer. Eventually, I began working for New Orleans Wedding Magazine as the graphic designer, so my knowledge of wedding planning and photography certainly helped me to be able to format the layout of a wedding magazine. I eventually became the creative director for that same magazine.” Angie’s experience has allowed her to build many personal and professional relationships with a number of established wedding specialists and her experience with event planning, graphic design, and marketing has made Absolutely Nola the wedding planner couples are fighting over in New Orleans.

Absolutely Nola is known for their unique concept development process when helping you create the wedding you’ve always envisioned. “I have an ability to see a vision before anything is implemented. For me, the creative process comes from having a vision, even in an empty room”.

Angie’s creativity and experience aren’t just benefiting lovestruck couples pursuing their dream wedding but also the next generation of wedding planners. Angie has recruited two up-and-coming wedding coordinators to the Absolutely Nola team. Jared Jai Carroll and Sophia Giavotella have each ‘worked with Angie on multiple creative levels for over a year on various event and wedding projects’. “My team members that work with me are young and they’re very enthusiastic. I’ve had them in mind as I created this company”.

“In New Orleans, there’s always opportunities, and there are so many creative things going on. As long as you’re paying attention, you can always find the center of that creativity any hour of the day, any day of the week. I could go to the French Quarter any old day and be inspired by the people, the vibe, the music, the art… there’s just so many things to be inspired by. It can actually become overwhelming”.

Angie named her business Absolutely Nola because she’s confident that she can provide a 100% unique New Orleans aesthetic to any wedding. With dedication like that, you know there’s no place she’d rather be.
